POLOSWIM(TM)

A POLOSWIM(TM) session is a specialised set of water polo swimming techniques and movements in the water associated with Water Polo.

BEGINNER

  • Compliments FlippaBall / water polo by teaching foundation skills for players. The program includes instruction in treading water, swimming with the ball, techniques for holding, passing and catching the ball. This program is lane based, and provides repetitive instruction for greater foundation skill acquisition and is graduated in skill and difficulty. The minimum entrance is level 7 swimming competency (including breastroke kick).

INTERMEDIATE

  • Compliments FlippaBall / water polo by progressing the foundation skills for players. The program includes instruction in treading water, swimming with the ball, techniques for holding, passing and catching the ball. This program is lane based, and is graduated in skill and difficulty to cater for player levels who have graduated from beginner level through to advanced. This program is ideally suited for those players in Year 6 or above at school.

In both levels, the children's swimming ability is improved, along with water confidence, leg mobility and ball skills.

POLOSKILLS

POLOSKILLS is a specialised program utilising foundation skills to progress the connection to the game related aspects of water polo. More information is provided on the following page.

Term 3, 2020 POLOSWIM(TM) Sessions

Session Times

Mondays 3:35pm-4.10pm (beginner) and 4.15pm-4.55pm (intermediate)

Cost: Term 3 $90/child  for 1 POLOSWIM(TM) session per week for single term enrolment ($15 per class).

Price includes pool entry

Dates: Monday 17th August running for 6 weeks, through to Monday 21st September.

Family Discounts: 5% discount for 2nd child, 10% discount for 3rd and subsequent children enrolled in the same term programme.
